Without further ado, here's my most recent experience.
Originally, I had planned to make this purchase myself as a sort of birthday gift. Things changed when Closet Child updated with my absolute dream dress, Vampire Forest (a part of what I call the holy vampire trinity). For obvious reasons, I put my holy grail dress at top priority and due to my budget not to spend any more than a set amount, my boyfriend offered to purchase the order from My-Lolita-Dress instead.
For this order, I wanted to get some items that would enhance my wardrobe and allow me to make more coords on the gothic side. Even though I would have preferred to get bunch of new dresses, I think it's important to have a balance to one's wardrobe. If I only had dresses and little to no accessories, blouses, and shoes, I would be severely limited in coording opportunities. With that said, I asked Jacob to order a pair of red Antaina tea parties, a pair of gold hime heels, a black hime blouse by Pumpkin Cat, a gold star Loris bag, and a sailor lolita hat to match Border Marine. Kind of a small order for me considering how expensive the shipping cost is, but since they were necessities for my wardrobe, I rationalized it being worth it.

Unfortunately, the sailor hat ended up being out of stock, but Linda (the shop's owner) emailed Jacob very soon after the order to let us know and immediately gave us a refund for that item. I've had items go out of stock after I've ordered through My-Lolita-Dress previously, so I was pleased to see the quality of customer service, in this regard, stay the same.
The rest of the order went smoothly. I received the refund and very soon after received my tracking number. My-Lolita-Dress ships using express shipping via EMS, UPS, or DHL. I find this to be a nice touch, since it can take a week or so for her to receive the items you order from each respective taobao shop.
In the past, I find that DHL isn't the most reliable for shipping and at times the package doesn't arrive within the 5 day shipping and with UPS their staff isn't willing to leave the package at the front door so I'm forced to go down to the UPS location to pick up my package. None of this is on My-Lolita-Dress, however. That is to the fault of the postage service.
As a first, however, the package arrived with no trouble whatsoever. Here's a few images of the package to get an idea of what to expect.
Inside of the DHL postal packaging was a layer of bubble wrap around a plastic bag encasing each individual item which were also wrapped in plastic for safety. I personally appreciate the steps taken to ensure my items arrive to me undamaged. Along with fantastic customer service, this is what makes shopping with My-Lolita-Dress such a pleasure.
Unfortunately, there was an issue with both pairs of shoes I had ordered. I discussed this in my recent Antaina review video. For more information on that mess up, I suggest you watch.
Equally unfortunate, I'm unsure if this mistake is on the part of Linda or Antaina. In the past, Linda has been reliable to ship out the items I've ordered in the right color and description. I've doubled checked the order receipt to make sure the items had been input correctly, they were. The tea parties were listed as red, and the heels were listed as having a spiked heel. So the whole mess up here is rather bizarre.
Luckily there were no issues with any of the other items.
